Nameserver is a server or a program that is used to relate or map a website to the webserver.Name Server is used to map the files related to a website in a webserver, when a domain name is typed into the browser. Usually while registering a domain name, the nameserver (DNS) details are provided with some editable fields. To relate the domain name to the website, the hosting companies provide hosting values that is included in the Nameserver. Within 24 hours the website is active in the internet and the same procedure can be followed to switch to another hosting company. Thus you can map a website to webserver using DNS.
