Selection tools in GIMP
are used to select particular regions from the active layer so that the other regions of the layers do not get affected..
There are a total of 7 selection tools available and each one has its own individual properties.
- There are 7 Selection Tools listed in the Toolbox and let us see one by one.
-> Selects square or rectangular regions.
-> Selects circular or elliptical regions.
-> Draws free-form selections.
-> Selects continuous regions of colour.
- By Color
-> Selects all instances of a colour in an image.
-> Creates path to select shapes.
-> Selects a region containing foreground objects.
