Statistical Functions

Below listed are the various statistical functions of Microsoft Excel 2007.

Average():

AVERAGE function is used to find the average of given set of numbers.

Correl():

CORREL function is used to find the relationship between two set of values.

Count():

COUNT function finds and returns the count of number of numeric entries in a given list.

Counta():

COUNTA function finds and returns the count of number of numeric entries, text, errors, etc in a given list.

Countblank():

COUNTBLANK function finds and returns the count of blank cells from the selection.

Countif():

COUNTIF function is used to count the number of items based on the condition given.

Forecast():

FORECAST function is used predict a value based on the two sets of values.

Frequency():

FREQUENCY function compares a range of data against various intervals.

Large():

LARGE function is used to pick the largest value from the list of values.

Max():

MAX function returns the highest value from the given list.

Median():

MEDIAN function is used to find the median of the given set of numbers.

Min():

MIN function returns the lowest value from the given list.

Mode():

MODE function is used to find the number/entry which has appeared frequently in a group.

Permut():

PERMUT function is used to find the maximum number of permutations possible with the given items.

Quartile():

QUARTILE function returns the quartile values of the given set of entries.

Rank():

RANK function returns the rank of a value against the other values in the given numbers.

Small():

SMALL function is used to pick the smallest value from the list of values.

Stdev():

STDEV function is used to calculate the Standard Deviation based on a sample.
