SLN Function

The SLN function calculates the Straight Line Depreciation of an item, with the given values.

Formula:


= SLN(Cost, Salvage, Life)
Whereas Cost - initial cost of the asset.
Salvage - value at the end of the depreciation or the Selling Price
Life - the number of periods over which the asset is depreciated.
SLN is calculated as the difference between Cost and Salvage divided by the life (no of years)
