PHP Break Statement

What is Break Structure?

Explanation

Break ends the execution of the for, for each, while, do-while or switch statement.

Syntax
    Break (Optional numeric argument)

In "Optional numeric argument" we can provide how many loop or statements to exit the execution. Break without any number will exit the execution once.

Example
    <?php
    $c = 0;
    while (++$c)
    {
    switch ($c)
     {
      case 5:
        echo "At 5;\n";
        break 1;
      case 10:
        echo "At 10; quitting\n";
        break 2;
      default:
        break;
      }
      }
    ?>
Result:
    At 5; At 10; quitting

In the above example break 1 will exit the switch statement alone, but the break 2 will exit the switch as well as the while statement
