What is qw() Function in Perl programming?
|
|
Explanation |
|
The qw() function is used to quote a list of words to get stored in an array.
Syntax:
qw string;
In the above syntax qw() function takes a string as an argument.
Example:
#! C:\programfiles\perl\bin\perl
print "content-type: text/html\n\n";
@color = qw(Green Orange Blue Pink);
foreach $key (@color)
{
print "$key\n";
print "<br>";
}
Result:
Green
Orange
Blue
Pink
In the above example keeping the space as the delimiter the string is seperated to individual elements and stored in an
array.
