Introduction:


HTML5 is the abbreviated form of HyperText Markup Language, where "5" denotes the latest version of the HTML. It is a programming language to construct, arrange and present the texts or contents in the webpage of a website.

The World Wide Web Consortium and WHATWG (Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group) have jointly developed HTML5 and it was officially released as on January 18, 2011. Experts states that HTML5 is the major evolution of HTML.

The format of this programming language is Markup language. User can use uppercase or lowercase or both, as HTML5 is Case Insensitive.

The previous versions of HTML programming available for usage are HTML 4.01 and XHTML 1.1.

The "Backward Compatibility" feature is made available on here. So, any element which is a part of previous versions of the HTML, can be used in this version. Viewer can check the compatibility of an element by using the demo portion.

HTML5 will function in all major "Operating Systems". Many new tags, events, attributes have been introduced in this version and also some tags, attributes have been disapproved. Let us the HTML5 tutorial and user can make use of the available demos and examples in this programming language.
