How is Mathematical Function "fabs()" used in C++?
How to find the absolute value of a number ?
|
|
Explanation |
|
fabs() is a Mathematical Function that returns the absolute value of the
given argument.
Syntax to find the absolute value:
float exp( float num);
double exp( double num);
long double exp( long double num);
Example:
#include <stdio.h>
#include <math.h>
int main ()
{
printf ("The absolute value of
2.5426 is %lf\n", fabs ( 2.5426) );
printf ("The absolute value of
-8.6 is %lf\n", fabs (-8.6) );
return 0;
}
|
Result:
The absolute value of 2.5426 is 2.542600
The absolute value of -8.6 is 8.600000
In the above example fabs() is used to find the absolute value
of "2.542600" and "-8.6".
