How is Mathematical Function "cos()" used in C++?
How to find the cosine value of an argument using c++?
|
|
Explanation |
|
cos() is a Mathematical Function that returns the cosine Value for the given radians.
Syntax to find Cosine Value:
float cos( float arg );
double cos( double arg );
long double cos( long double arg );
Example:
#include <iostream.h>
#include <cmath.h>
const double PI = 3.14159265;
int main()
{
cout << "The cosine value of 0 is :: "
<< cos(0) << endl;
cout << "The cosine value of PI is :: "
<< cos(PI) << endl;
return 0;
}
|
Result:
The cosine value of 0 is :: 1
The cosine value of PI is :: -1
In the above example cos() is used to find the cosine value for "0" and the constant "PI".
