How If Else conditional branching Statement is used in C++?
|
|
Explanation |
|
If Else statement is a conditional branching statement used to execute a set of code when the condition is true, otherwise
executes the code in the "else" part. This belongs to Control Structures.
Syntax:
if(expression)
{ Statements }
else
{ Statements }
Example:
#include <iostream.h>
using namespace std;
void main()
{
int a=10;
int b=20;
if (a>b)
{
cout << "A is greater than B";
}
else
{
cout << "B is greater than A";
}
|
Result:
B is greater than A
In the above example the "if" condition is false so the code in the "else" part is executed. This is the if else statement, conditional branching in C++.
